Gara Closet is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting people who want to rent occasionwear ("Renters") with people who list pieces from their own closets ("Lenders"). Gara Closet is not a party to the rental agreement between a Renter and a Lender — we provide the platform, payment handling, and dispute support.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to list or rent on Gara Closet.

Lenders are responsible for describing items accurately (condition, sizing, and photos) and for fulfilling confirmed rental requests. Renters are responsible for returning items on time and in the condition they were received, ordinary wear excepted.

Gara Closet charges a 15% commission on the rental fee, deducted from the Lender's payout. Renters are charged a damage protection fee (12% of the rental cost) and a delivery fee on every booking. Fees are disclosed before a booking is confirmed.

Damage protection covers verified accidental damage up to the terms disclosed at booking. Deliberate damage, loss, or non-return is handled through our dispute process and may result in additional charges or account suspension.

Circumventing the platform to transact outside Gara Closet, listing counterfeit or unsafe items, harassment, and fraud are all grounds for account suspension or termination.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Community Guidelines.

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Gara Closet after an update means you accept the revised terms.
